This article describes a feature available to all DocSend customers. |
Overview
You can easily update content, even if you already shared links to the file. This is especially helpful if you need to correct a typo or make a quick change to a document.
Important: When you update a file, all links associated with the file automatically update to reflect the new version. If the file exists in a Space, the copy of the file is also updated. |

Things to consider
- The Refresh feature is only available for content uploaded from a connected cloud storage provider, such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Content uploaded from the Dropbox web application to DocSend does not support the Refresh feature.
-
Refresh errors may occur if:
- You are logged out of the cloud storage provider associated with the content you wish to refresh.
- The file has been deleted.
-
Access to the file has been revoked.
- For the Refresh feature to work, the file type can't be changed between updates. For example, if you convert an Excel file into a PDF, it will stop syncing.
- Switching the file does not work for the “update existing content” workflow.
