Overview
There will be times when your visitor will access your DocSend link, but you'll see that the visit time is 0 seconds. Rest assured, the visit time is accurate; there are four possible reasons why a visit could be 0 seconds.
Reopened Tabs
Your visitor's browser may be set to reopen tabs from a previously closed browsing session. When they reopen their previously closed browsing session, and your DocSend link is one of those reopened tabs, you'll see a visit with 0 seconds spent on the document.
This may occur each time the visitor reopens their last browsing session even if they are not actively viewing the document.
Two Tabs
While rare, a visitor may double-click a link you've sent them, opening your DocSend link twice. They’ll engage with the link in one tab while the other tab is opened in the background with no engagement.
While your visitor didn't actively visit the DocSend link that was open in the background, DocSend will show you that your visitor has accessed your link.
Download-only Content
When a visitor accesses Download-only content you've shared, the visit time will reflect 0.0 seconds. While the visit is recorded, the content isn’t viewed in the DocSend document viewer, which results in a 0 duration visit time. Visit Download-only Content for more information.
Atypical Visits
When you receive a visit that's flagged as a data center visit, you'll see the visit time reflects 0.0 seconds. Since the visit is initiated by a data center, it's most likely that your content isn't viewed and instead just accessed. For more information, see our article on Atypical Visits.
