Types of Email Notifications
As Visits Occur
This email notification triggers immediately once a visitor accesses any of your created links. This will enable you to reach out to your visitor as the visit occurs. The email notification will consist of the following visit information:
- Visitor Identity: Device used, geolocation.
- Content Viewed: How much of the document the visitor viewed (%)
- Time Spent: Quick snapshot of the time spent on the document. Please note, the visit may still be ongoing so please review the document details in the Content section for more accurate visit information.
When Disabled Links are Opened
This email notification triggers whenever a visitor accesses a disabled link you created. This is a great way to gauge interest on disabled content. Visitors attempting to access your disabled link will not be able to see the content and will not have any visitor information captured. The email notification includes the following visit details:
- Anonymous visitor
- Document name and link
- Ability re-enable link (see Reenable it here)
As Invites are Accepted
You’ll receive an email anytime your invite is accepted. This notification can help you:
- Manage your Billing settings
- Manage your team members through the User Settings page
As Signatures Occur (Standard, Advanced)
You’ll receive an email notification anytime a visitor signs one of your signable documents. The notification includes the following information:
- Name of the Signer
- Email Address of the Signer
- Document name
- Option to download a copy of signed document
When a Viewer Attempts to Access with an Unauthorized Email (Advanced)
You’ll receive this email notification whenever an unauthorized visitor tries to access your link with Allowed Viewers enabled. By receiving this notification, you can take action either by disabling the link or granting access to unauthorized visitors you trust. For more information on how to enable this feature, visit our help center article, Allowed Viewers.
The following information will be included in the email notification:
- Document link and name
- Option to allow an unauthorized visitor to access the document

Weekly Team Update Digest
This is a weekly summary of all the visit activity that occurred under the Team Folder. For minimal email notifications, this is an ideal option. The digest will include the following:
- Busiest day: highlights the day(s) out of the week you received the most visits.
- Visit Recap: Included only for members users. This is an outline of visits to your own created links.

Things to Consider
- To unsubscribe from Marketing emails, you can choose to opt out by clicking on the option in the Marketing email.
- The Visit Recap section under the Weekly Team Update Digest email is only available for members of the account, not account Owners or Admins.
- If there is no activity under the Team folder in the last 7 days, no weekly digest email will be sent.
- Email Notifications can be configured separately along each user within the same account.
