Overview
Using the DocSend Extension for Chrome provides a seamless experience by giving you access to your DocSend content without ever having to leave your Chrome browser. The extension also gives you access to the DocSend Gmail Plug-in. Both are free, easy to install, and available on all plans.

How to download
To download the extension:
- Find the DocSend Extension for Chrome in the Chrome Web Store.
- Select Add to Chrome to download
- Click Add Extension in the pop-up that appears.
Once downloaded, the extension will appear on your browser's extension menu (the puzzle piece in the top right) and the compose ribbon in your Gmail account.
Using the Chrome extension
The extension allows you to access your DocSend content without interrupting your workflow.
To create and send links:
- Select the Chrome extension and log in to your DocSend account.

Once connected, you can upload or select content and create a DocSend link.
- Click Upload content, click the file you want to upload, click Select, select your link settings, then click Generate & Copy Link.
- Choose an existing file, select your link settings, then click Generate & Copy Link.
- Click Upload content, click the file you want to upload, click Select, select your link settings, then click Generate & Copy Link.
- Paste the link where you’d like to share it.
Using the Gmail plug-in
Once you’ve downloaded the Chrome extension, you can access your DocSend content directly from your inbox with the Gmail plugin.
To create and send links:
- Go to your Gmail account and click Compose to begin a new email.
- Select the DocSend logo on the compose ribbon (to the right of the Send button) log in to your DocSend account.

Once connected, upload or select existing content and create a DocSend link.
- Click Upload content, click the file you want to upload, click Select, select your link settings, then click Generate & Copy Link.
- Choose an existing file, select your link settings, then click Generate & Copy Link.
- Click Upload content, click the file you want to upload, click Select, select your link settings, then click Generate & Copy Link.
The link will automatically be added in the email thread and default to the document’s name, which you can edit if needed.
How to uninstall
You can also uninstall the DocSend Extension for Chrome from your browser at any time:
- Click the “⁝” (vertical ellipsis) in the top right of Chrome and select Settings.
- Click Extensions in the navigation bar.
- Find the DocSend Extension and click Remove.
- Click Remove in the pop-up window that appears to uninstall the extension.
Note: Uninstalling the Chrome extension will also remove the Google plug-in.
