Overview
The Q&A feature allows visitors to submit questions about content directly within a shared DocSend space. Admins and collaborators can manage these questions by accessing the Q&A tab within the Space. When a visitor submits a question, the Space owner and assigned collaborators receive an email notification with a direct link to the question, allowing for quick responses. This feature helps centralize communication and keeps all inquiries related to the shared content organized in one place.

How to access Q&A
- Log in to docsend.com.
- Navigate to the desired Space.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar to view and respond to questions.
The requestor will receive an email with your response.
Note: Visitors need to provide an email address before they can submit questions.
How to respond to a question
- Log in to docsend.com.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar.
- Click Expand and reply next to the question you want to respond to.
- Type your response in the text box.
- Click Publish.
When publishing a response to a question it will automatically email the individual who asked the question and will be visible to all visitors.
Note: The Audit log tab allows you to see who responds to questions.
How to disable publishing questions and answers to all visitors
- Log in to docsend.com.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar.
- Toggle off next to Publish.
The questions and answers no longer be public to visitors.
Note: This can be changed at any time.
How to change the status of a question
- Log in to docsend.com.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar.
- Under Status, click the dropdown menu.
- Select Replied to indicate the question has been responded to.
- Select Decline to indicate the question will not be addressed.
Note: If you respond to a question from your email, you need to manually change the status from “pending” in the Q&A tab.
How to delete a question
- Log in to docsend.com.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar.
- Click “…” (more options) next to the question you desire to delete.
- Select Delete question from the dropdown menu.
Note: Deleting a question is permanent and can’t be undone.
How to deactivate Q&A
- Log in to docsend.com.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar.
- Click Allow visitor questions at the top of the page.
- Select Visitor questions disabled from the dropdown menu.
How to submit a question as a visitor
- Log in to docsend.com or create a View only account.
- Click Q&A in the left side bar.
- Click Add question in the upper-right corner.
- Type your question in the text box.
- Click Publish.
A published question will be visible to all visitors.
