Overview
You can seamlessly move files from Dropbox to DocSend using the Dropbox integration. With DocSend, you can track visitor engagement on your Dropbox documents while also having more control over sensitive information.
The integration is free to use and available on all plans in DocSend and Dropbox.

Connect Dropbox in DocSend
To upload your Dropbox content in DocSend, follow these steps:
- Click Upload Content
- Select the option best suited for your content upload (most users select Upload files and folders)
- Select Dropbox from the service options provided
- Enter your Dropbox login credentials.
- Allow DocSend to access your Dropbox account so you can start uploading files.
Connect DocSend in Dropbox
You can manage the Dropbox integration through DropBox's Connected Apps Settings page. From here, you’ll be able to connect, disconnect, or reconnect the DocSend application.
Important: The Dropbox integration only applies to documents. See Uploading Content for more details.
- Go to your Dropbox account.
- Navigate to the Settings page.
- Click on the Connected Apps tab.
- Click on App Center.
- Search for DocSend.
- Click Connect
- Allow the integration.
You’re ready to upload documents from Dropbox to DocSend!
To disconnect, click the Disconnect button.
Save to Dropbox
When you have a Dropbox account connected, you can automatically save completed signed documents to Dropbox. For more information, checkout the Dropbox Help Center article, How to save DocSend files to your Dropbox account
Upload from the Dropbox Web Application
You can upload content from Dropbox to DocSend in three ways, one of which is through the Dropbox web application.
- Access your Dropbox account.
- Locate the document you’d like to upload to DocSend.
- Click into the document so that you’re at the comment page.
- Click the Share arrow button.
- Select Send and Track from the dropdown menu.
- You’ll be taken to the DocSend web application where your document will upload. If you’re not logged in, you’ll be prompted to login.
- Once your document completes the upload process, you can create, copy, and share your link.
Upload from the Dropbox Desktop Application
The second way you can upload documents from Dropbox to DocSend is through Dropbox’s desktop application.
- Open the Dropbox Desktop App.
- Locate the document you wish to upload to DocSend.
- Click Share from the right-hand toolbar.
- Select DocSend from the dropdown menu.
- You’ll be taken to the DocSend web application where your document will upload. If you’re not logged in, you’ll be prompted to login to DocSend.
- Once your document completes the upload process, you can create, copy, and share your link.

Log in using Dropbox
You can login to your DocSend account using your Dropbox credentials through our Additional Providers login portal: https://docsend.com/login/other_providers.
Important: To set up the login connection, connect your Dropbox account through the DocSend’s connected apps page. For more information, see Connected Application Settings.
Dropbox Uploads Folder
When you upload files from Dropbox to DocSend, those files will be housed under your My Folders section in the DropBox uploads folder. Documents in your Dropbox uploads folder can be managed into Team or other personal folders, for more information visit our help center article on Content Folders.

- The third way to upload content from Dropbox to DocSend is through DocSend’s file uploader. For more information, visit our Cloud Upload Providers article.
- You can manage content options in Dropbox through Dropbox’s Connected Apps page.
- You can manage your login credentials through DocSend’s Connected Apps page.
- The DocSend Dropbox integration does not currently support file syncs.
