Take Note
After uploading a document, users can add an internal note, which can provide more context and details about the document. Adding internal notes can be a simple yet effective way to ensure that content is always up to date. Internal notes are only visible to other DocSend users within the team and will not be viewed by visitors.
Here’s a brief overview of some ways to use internal notes:
- More context and details on a document - users can add notes to provide more details and context on a document. We typically recommend including important details around when to use a document along with any internal-facing information pertinent to the users.
- Stay up to date with constant updates - As internal users create links to share with visitors, other users can use the note section to provide updates on how the document was utilized. We typically recommend including dates, user, and also bullet points whenever possible.
- Improve search-ability with a tagging structure - As organizations get more complex, including a tagging structure can help improve search-ability. We recommend putting an underscore (_) in front of specific terms to make searching easier.
